Saplings is an extension of the Sprouts program that brings afterschool science activities to Kindergarten through 2^nd graders at Baranof and Keet Gooshi Heen Elementary schools. This program was piloted during the fall of 2018 and is currently made possible with support from the SAFV Shelter. As part of this program, students participate in a wide variety of science-themed endeavors including squid dissections, slime-making, and magnet powered car races!
