Fish Industry and Hatchery Tour

Learn about the fisheries industry from those who work in and on the ocean, in a hatchery, and in a seafood processing plant. You'll visit the Sitka docks and talk to local fishermen, tour a hatchery where chum, Chinook, and coho salmon are produced, explore a local seafood producers cooperative, and finish the tour with a salmon tasting at the Sitka Sound Science Center. Local fish industry and hatchery experts will facilitate this tour.
