Half-day Sea Kayaking with Sitka Sound Adventures 10am

This 4.5 hour adventure for the beginner and the advanced alike combines paddling, beach time and one-way boat transportation. You'll be able to explore a variety of Sitka Sound's countless islands, seldom-traveled passages, mazes of reef and kelp forests. We will outfit you on shore and then your guide will explain the day's unique float plan. After your kayak skills & safety orientation, your paddle will begin and your guide will help you identify colorful marine wildlife thriving both above and below the water. You'll step ashore on one of Sitka Sounds many islands to do a little beachcombing, and enjoy a hearty snack. This wilderness exploration concludes with a boat picking you and your gear up off the beach and enjoying a 30-minute boat cruise back to Sitka. Please dress for the weather.
