Adult & Family Summer Camps 2021
Adults can have fun at summer camps too! This summer, treat yourself to fun science, art, and adventurous experiences on the beach, in the water, or “talking trash” with other families.
Campers in the “Artistry of Algae” camp (adult only), held June 10 and 11, will get together in the early morning for an algae identification and collection walk in the intertidal zone and reconvene later for an evening of algae tasting, art-making, and experimenting. This camp is conveniently scheduled for before and after work hours.
For those who can’t resist the water, the Science Center is poised to begin a snorkeling club for adults who want to explore the subtidal. Sign up for the “Snorkel into Science” camp for the total package of instruction, gear, and company!
The Family Camp “Talking Trash” is a unique way to learn new things as a family. Field trips and projects with experts extend your community connections. Activities designed to be equally interesting for adults and kids allow everyone to enjoy camp. Grandparents, visiting relatives, family friends can enjoy this special time with kids by signing up as a family group.
