Afternoons at the Aquarium
Is your family longing to explore the aquarium? Would you like to slip more hands-on science into the school day? Afternoons at the Aquarium provides some wonderful enrichment for school age youth. Tuesday afternoons are dedicated to independent explorations in the forms of the Junior Naturalist program, scavenger hunts, and tank habitat scientific observations. Thursday afternoons are set aside for facilitated programs – Pocket Programs led by SSSC education staff and Haa Aani, an outside place-based program led by STA culture bearer Chuck Miller.
Reservations are required and allow students 45 minutes of time in the aquarium. Start times are 1:00, 2:00, and 3:00, and can be booked below. Please note these are not general admission open hours. These are designed to provide additional education opportunities, in light of the shortened school day.
