Afterschool Programs are Here
From Symmetries in the aquarium to Storytelling, our after-school educator Maia Carter has created wonderfully interactive activities. All classes are offered free of charge, transportation from school to the Science Center, and snacks are included.

Stream Team | 4th & 5th grade | Thursdays from 3:00-5:00pm starting Sep 25th
Study the waters where you live! Learn how to collect, analyze, and present data about Ḵaasda Héen and Cutthroat Creek. We’ll collect data, explore the national park, and present our findings! Transportation from Keet and snacks are provided.

Tank Techs | 8th Grade | Mondays 3:30-5:00pm starting Sep 29th
Tank Techs is a free afterschool club in which students learn the ins and outs of aquarium care. Play with pipes and plumbing, remove parasites from fish, and build a brine shrimp breeder! Transportation to the Science Center and snacks are provided.
Fab Friday | Middle School | Fridays 2:10-4:00pm starting Oct 3rd
Fab Friday is a free afterschool program from SSSC and YAS open to all middle school students. It runs on Friday afternoons when school is in session. Explore the intersections of art, science, and technology through our fall theme: beach! Perform intertidal surveys, make art from pressed seaweed, and play in and around the water!
