Join us for the 18th Annual Parade of the Species, just before Earth Day! Make sure to dress as your favorite species for the costume contest. The parade will end at Sitka Sound Science Center, where there will be an Earth Fair celebration with fun activities for the whole family!

Meet by 3:15 at Totem Square for costume judging and parade line up. Parade begins at 3:30 pm and proceeds down Lincoln Street to the Sitka Sound Science Center (834 Lincoln Street).

The categories for the costume contest will be:
Best Group Costume
Best Local Animal Costume
Best Local Plant Costume
Best Use of Recycled Materials Costume
Best Costume Age 16+

There will be a free costume making event before the parade, time and place TBD.
