It’s Giving Tuesday & the Sitka Sound Science Center is asking for your support.

We are a nonprofit that is focused on increasing awareness and understanding of aquatic, marine, & terrestrial ecosystems of coastal Alaska. We accomplish this through education & research.

Giving to the Sitka Sound Science Center is:

• Giving to landslide research developing community-oriented warning systems
• Giving to marine debris clean-up efforts & research into what plastics are doing to our intertidal environments
• Bringing scientists into our school system offering hands on learning to all grade levels within Sitka
• Giving to numerous after school & pre-K programs that engage students in critical thinking free of charge
• Giving to scholarships that help all students enjoy science summer camps
