Elizabeth grew up on a sheep and goat farm in Wisconsin and moved to Sitka in 2020. She works remotely as the Managing Director for the climate change solutions nonprofit, Project Drawdown, where she guides the organization’s overall strategy and keeps programs and operations running smoothly. Before joining Project Drawdown, Elizabeth directed sustainability efforts at the California Academy of Sciences and designed the science content for video games at LeapFrog. Elizabeth holds joint PhDs in Environment & Resources and Educational Psychology from the University of Wisconsin at Madison where she studied how video games can encourage systems thinking about complex environmental topics.
