Jung was raised in New Jersey, not by the ocean, but with great access to the Hudson River and a boat. Through fishing with her family and learning about the ocean, she grew to become passionate and earned a B.S. in Marine Sciences. After a semester spent in Sitka with the UAS Mariculture program, she came back as SSSC's Hatchery Apprentice to learn, grow, and become involved with the world of salmon. When she's not working, she can be found drawing, writing, reading, or tide pooling.
