Originally from Southcentral Montana, Ruth brings her passion for systematic processes to the Sitka Sound Science Center as the Research Facilities Technician. After earning her degree in Environmental Science from the University of Montana, she’s excited to apply her knowledge in a new setting.

Ruth is thrilled to be in Sitka, where she can explore the unique ecosystems of the region while contributing to important research initiatives. When she's not busy supporting scientific projects, you can find her dipping in the ocean, collaging, or enjoying the beautiful outdoors that Southeast Alaska has to offer. Ruth looks forward to connecting with the community and making a meaningful impact through her work.
