Sarah Tobey is the Science Educator and Community Coordinator for the Sitka Sound Science Center. She grew up in New England, exploring the shores of Lake Champlain in Vermont and upstate New York. Her fascination with the many ways in which humans interact with their local environments led her to pursue a degree in Environmental Science at Colby College in Maine, where she also developed a passion for education. In her free time, she loves to bike and practice her woodworking skills. Sarah is very grateful for the opportunity to live in Sitka and learn from the community throughout her service with the Science Center and JVC Northwest.
