Sitka Music Festival has been holding a chamber music festival in Sitka from the Sheldon Jackson campus since 1972. As owners of the newly renovated Stevenson Hall they continue this legacy.  The month long festival held in Sitka each June brings musicians from around the world to Sitka to play concerts and put on chamber music in a variety of beautiful settings. In July they host a Sitka based International Cello Seminar, that brings together top collegiate cellists from around the world for the intensive course. The Festival also produces winter concerts in Anchorage and all around Alaska.
