Tahvo Wilson
Research Technician
Tahvo is from California but has spent his summers in Sitka with his family since he was 5 years old. Sitka has always been where Tahvo hoped to end up. After graduating from the University of British Columbia in B.C. with a B.S. in Math, it was an easy decision to move to Sitka full-time. In 2024 he took the UAS Sitka Aquaculture semester and connected his interest in fish to his math knowledge. He is passionate about the intersection of mathematical modelling, fisheries and conservation and hopes to deepen that interest as part of the research team working on the Chinook bioenergetics project. In his free time, he loves fishing, surfing, hunting, gardening and spending time on the water in and around Sitka.
