Research Coordinator

Zofia Danielson (she/her) is the Research Coordinator at the Sitka Sound Science Center. She was born and raised in Sitka, cultivating her interest in the marine world on the deck of her family’s troller, peering under rocks in the intertidal zones, and swimming through kelp forests. Zofia received her bachelor’s degree from Western Washington University in Bellingham, Washington in environmental science with a marine emphasis, and minors in English and interdisciplinary studies. She is excited to be home working on projects at the Science Center that will improve coastal community resilience and our understanding of the marine world. Zofia likes to hike, surf, mountain bike, and create linoleum block relief prints.
