United States Senator Lisa Murkowski paid a visit to the Science Center during her time in Sitka in August.  During her visit, she heard from our education team about the Scientist in the Schools program, spoke with Dr. Kristy Kroeker of UC Santa Cruz and PhD student and SSSC Research Associate Lauren Bell about their research into Ocean Acidification, watched Pearl the Octopus get fed a live crab, and took a quick tour of the Mill Building.
