Sitka Fine Arts campers and their families visited the Sitka Sound Science Center on June 15th for Family Night. They particpated in an Eco-Discovery education program called “The Case of the Lost Baby Sea Urchin.” For the activity, campers had to visit different stations throughout the Science Center to determine what environment Bella the baby sea urchin would most likely live so they could return her to her home. Afterward, campers and their families explored our touch tanks and were able to touch a real live sea urchin!
