Elizabeth Jean Younce

June 29, 2026, by admin

What do we recognize when we peer into a tidepool? What facets of ourselves can we see reflected in the ocean? Explore the primal processes that drive the cycles of life in the ocean on a combined snorkeling and illustration expedition with Sitka Fine Arts Camp faculty member Elizabeth Jean Younce.

Participants can choose to participate in one or both parts of this special event. This event is for participants ages 18 and up.

Part 1: Snorkel! Wednesday, July 8, 5:00-7:00pm

All snorkel equipment including wetsuits, booties, gloves, masks, fins, hoods, and snorkels are provided. Please arrive wearing your bathing suit or clothing that you are comfortable getting wet that will fit under a wet suit. Participants should also bring a towel and water bottle.

When you arrive, please meet in the Karsh classroom. At the conclusion of the snorkel, we will have a changing area and showers available.

Part 2: Draw! Thursday, July 9, 5:00-7:00pm
