Sprouts – “All About Birds”
Those of you with young scientists know that Sprouts at the Science Center is the place to be on a Tuesday morning. Those of you without young scientists might not know what Sprouts is…Sprouts is a free science education program for 3 – 5 year olds and their important adults that takes places every Tuesday morning at the Science Center.
Each week is centered around a theme and each session is kicked off with a story related to the theme. In addition to the story, there are 4 – 5 experiments, crafts, and activities set up for sprouters to engage in, all having to do with the weekly theme. Unfortunately, like many other events and programs, Sprouts is on hold for the time being, however, we are dedicating Tuesday’s Science Bite to all of our small scientists out there!
To celebrate the arrival of Spring and many migratory birds, today’s Sprouts theme is (you guessed it) ….BIRDS!
Below in the activity packet you will find book recommendations and 4 fun activities, PLUS a bird search. Happy birding sprouters! (recommended for Preschool/Elementary Level)
