Visiting Physics Professor to Give Talk at Sitka Public Library
Professor Kurt Hinterbichler will be presenting “Measuring the Size of the Universe” at Sitka Public Library on Thursday, August 3rd at 6pm. Hinterbichler was born and raised in Albuquerque, New Mexico, earned his Ph.D at Columbia University in New York City, and is now a professor of physics at Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland, Ohio. He is a theoretical physicist who uses mathematics to study cosmology and gravity at the largest known scales and the earliest known times. Hinterbichler is a participant of the 2017 Sitka Sound Summer Workshop.
The talk is free to the public.
