Upcoming After Hours Events & Workshops

Early Birds | Sundays 8:00–10:00 am

Join the Sitka Sound Science Center for Early Birds, a free Science After Hours series focused on spring migration and birding. Over four Sunday mornings, we’ll head outdoors to observe migrating and returning birds and spend time learning together in the field.

These guided walks emphasize hands-on practice and shared knowledge. Participants will work on identifying birds by sight and sound, keep track of the species we see, and exchange tips and observations along the way. The series welcomes a range of experience levels, from first-time birders to seasoned observers.

Early Birds meets Sundays, April 19 through May 10, 8:00–10:00 am at Sitka National Historical Park. Bring binoculars if you have them and dress for the weather. Registration is required (limited to 10 participants). Please contact Chase Coleman at ccoleman@sitkascience.org with any questions.
